- Michael Brown, described by his teachers as a âgentle giantâ, was an eighteen year old who had just graduated high school, saying to one of his friends âwe made it' and telling him that âhe wasnât going to end up like some people on the streets. He was going to get an education. He was going to make his life a whole a lot better."Â
- On the 9th of August, 2014, a Saturday, Michael and a friend, Dorian Johnson, whose account can be seen in the link, were walking down Canfield Drive to Michaels grandmothers house when a police vehicle cut them off.Â
- According to Johnson, the police officer, named Darren Wilson "approached us, and as he pulled up on the side of us, he didnât say âfreeze,â âhalt,â or nothing like we were committing a crime. He said, âGet the fâ- on the sidewalk!â I told the officer we were not but a minute away from the destination.âÂ
- The official reason the police officer approached them was because of jaywalking, which was stated by Police Chief Jackson: "Police Chief Thomas Jackson said Wilson did not initially make a connection between the robbery and Brown ⌠Wilson stopped Brown and a friend because "they were in the middle of the street, blocking traffic," Jackson said."
- What happened next is of contention - witnesses have their accounts as do the police and Darren Wilson - but what can be certain is that there was a physical struggle between Michael and Wilson, as there was Michaels DNA found inside the car
- Wilson states "punches started flying" but I find it odd that a 289 pound, 6â4Â man in his prime didnât create more damage to Wilsons face. Itâs odd that there is hardly any swelling when a man who is 80 pounds heavier than Wilson, and has the advantage of being outside the car, is punching the officers face so much so that Wilson felt like his life was threatened, no?Â
- Brown was also UNARMED, as he reportedly stated numerous times to Officer Wilson.Â
- The first shot was then fired, smashing the glass and Michael began to flee. At some point, Michael was hit in the arm and turned to face Wilson, his hands up and saying "donât shoot" before being shot a collective six times, with one fatal shot to the head, including the eye.
- Wilson estimated that "Brown ran 20-30 feet away from the car and then charged another 10 feet back towards him." But Brown died 150 feet away from the car. Itâs impossible that he charged another 10 feet.Â
- Wilson describing the altercation before Michael was killed: âThe only way I can describe it, it [Michael] looks like a demon, thatâs how angry he looked. He comes back towards me again with his hands up.â It. He called Michael âitâ. And a demon. Does that not give some indication to what Wilson was thinking when he killed Michael?Â
- @TheePharoah then tweets âI JUST SAW SOMEONE DIE OMGâ with a link to a picture of Wilson standing over Browns body, but I will not link that.Â
- Browns body was left on the street for 4 and a half hours. No ambulance was called. The police didnât even let Michaels mother see the body of her son. She later talked to reporters at the scene.Â
- In the later afternoon, this image of Browns stepfather went viral on twitter, holding a sign saying âFERGUSON POLICE JUST EXECUTED MY UNARMED SONâÂ
- Antonio French provided coverage via twitter and vine when no one else was in the hours after Michaels death (x) (x) (x) (x)
- Peaceful Protests occurred in the following days on the streets of Ferguson. The protestors were blasted with tear gas and were ran out of the streets by a militarised police force.Â
- A no fly zone was put into place, the media were forced to leave, and protests were banned by the police force in the next few days.Â
- August 15th, Ferguson Police Dept. release a tape they brand as Michael Brown robbing a local convenience store by stealing $48 worth of cigarillos. Police didnât include this footage which shows Michael Brown paying for the cigarillos.  Wilson also didnât complete an incident report, which is against the law.Â
- Store owner states through his lawyer that he, nor his employees, called 9/11Â about the âpetty theftâ and that the Ferguson Police Dept. had requested the tape days after Michael was murdered.Â
- Store owner attorney states: âWhatever the police are looking for on the surveillance tape, has nothing to do with what went on in the street.â
- November 24th: After nearly four months of paid leave, in which time a fundraiser for Darren Wilson raised over $400,000, Wilson got married, a Grand Jury came to their decision to not indict Darren Wilson. Here is the transcript for those sittings, including every piece of evidence used. Here are all the âfactsâ. They had been hearing evidence since August 20th. A Grand Juryâs decision to not indict is extremely rare, about 0.006% of cases arenât indicted as of 2010
Some other interesting links: Conflict of interest with the Prosecuting Attorney that hints at bias, the rarity of a Grand Jury not indicting, leader of the KKK admits to off the record contact with the police, Anonymous has evidence that Darren Wilson has a connection to the KKK, Darren Wilson racially profiled before he killed Michael Brown
If you want to help, there are a variety of ways you can: this campaign for bail for ferguson protestors, change.com petition against police violence, sign this âwe the peopleâ petition, sign this petition to take the case to the supreme court, donate to Ferguson library which is open despite the schools being closed, watch livestreams and by spreading information of whatâs going on in Ferguson - talk about DeAndre Joshua, 20, who was killed in the riots yesterday while in his car. Talk about Michael Brown. Spread information about the protests, about how to protect yourself from tear gas, about their innate human rights. Support the protestors, and support the black community.Â
I know Iâm missing stuff, so if there is anything else Iâm missing, or you think should be added, please do. If anything is found to be offensive, please message me and Iâll make changes to the links.Â
wow I didnât know fuckin chocolate eggs were gendered
OKAY LET ME TELL YOU A STORY ABOUT THE FUCKING PINK EGGS.
I work at a concession stand in an ice rink. We sell a bunch of chocolate bars and snacks and shit including Kinder Surprise eggs.
So one day this woman comes up to the counter with her two little kids, a girl whoâs probably about 6 or 7 and a little boy, maybe 3 or 4. The mom asks what they want, the little girl points at the Kinder eggs and says âOne of those!â. I asked if she wanted the white or the pink egg. She said pink. The little boy pointed to the Kinder eggs and says âOne of those!â. I asked if he wanted the white or the pink egg. He said pink. HOLY SHIT IT WAS LIKE I OPENED THE GATES OF HELL. The mom absolutely FLIPPED and was like âYOU ARE NOT GETTING THE PINK EGG ITâS ONLY FOR GIRLS. YOU CAN GET THE WHITE ONE OR NOTHING AT ALLâ. The little boy looked at his mom and said âBut I want the same as ______ (whatever the sisterâs name was)â. The mom completely ignored him and turned to me and gave me a death glare. âHe can have the white egg.â
I had to give a little boy a white egg when he wanted the pink so that he could be the same as his big sister and he started crying. The mom just reiterated that the pink egg was for girls and told him that boys donât cry.
And this is why we shouldnât gender fucking chocolate eggs.
This is actually a relatively new thing, originally Kinder Eggs were all white like the ones on the left. I donât know at what point they decided to make âgirlâsâ Kinder Eggs, but I do not like it.
Holy shit do not even get me started on how moms constantly police their sonsâ masculinity. Iâve seen mothers do it WAY more often than fathers.
I used to work at a bakery that specialized in creating custom cakes. We had this feature where we could print out any image off the computer and put it on a cake (with rice paper). One day this lady comes in and asks for an image we had of the baby Sesame Street characters. Theyâre all together with cake and confetti, and she asks, âOh, well since itâs a boy, can you please change all of the little pink confettis into blue confetti? I mean, heâs a boy, you know.â
Confetti.
The fucking confetti.
It barely covered 5% of the image.
Another instance was when a lady asked me for an image of four superheroes to put on her sonâs cake because her son was turning four. She admitted to not knowing any superheroes, so I offered the most obvious choiceâThe Fantastic Four. I pulled up a picture of them and she goes, âOh no no, we canât have that. Letâs do another one.â Confused, I pulled up a Justice League one with Batman, Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. Again, she said no. I asked her if she needed anything specific (she didnât know superheroes, why was she so picky?), and she just said, âOh, itâs just that heâs a boy, you know? We canât have a girl superhero on his cake.â
I nearly lost my shit. I did temporarily lose my customer service face and ask why, women have been superheroes all the time, Wonder Woman is iconic, etc etc and she was like, âItâs just that my son has been playing with Barbie dolls lately and I really donât want him to end up⌠well, you know.â
This shit has got to stop. When you teach boys that certain things are only for girls, youâre limiting them and youâre teaching them that girls or âgirly thingsâ are bad. If you want gender equality as an adult, you better make DAMN sure that youâre teaching the same thing to your kids.
So this woman did not want her son to turn out âyou knowâ and her plan for that was to get him a cake with spandex-clad manly men AND ONLY MEN on it? I donât think she thought that one through too wellâŚ
in sociology class we were talking about gender being assigned to objects and one of the male students started saying how forward thinking he is because he buys his daughter sports equipment and âboy toysâ. I asked if heâd do the same if he had a son and he said âOf course Iâd buy my son sports equipmentâ. I clarified âNo, would you buy him dolls and other toys that are thought of as being for girlsâ. He turned around and didnât answer.
Parents will pat themselves on the back for letting their little girls play baseball but a little boy with a Barbie is still considered an affront to society

this actually has 9000 notes
9000 people genuinely reblogged this
wow.
reblogging it anyway
even more reason to reblog
(via dragonmagics)
for all the ignorant ass people that say itâs just one kid these are the people who have died since the incident with Mike Brown.
let me repeat that.Â
with the exception of one THESE HAVE ALL HAPPENED WITHIN THE LAST 4 MONTHS
(via judedeluca)

This is so powerful, why doesnât it have more reblogs/likes?! This breaks my heart every time I see it. Âthis needs more publicity. how come foster kids go to shitty foster parents when thereâs good people willing to take them?
Forever reblog. Â Such a powerful message.
ow
and the saddest thing is, itâs true. not just an occasional fact, but every fucking day there are people who jam pack kids into their houses and abuse them, who are basically state baby sitters who juggle kids around.
and in the meantime loving same sex couples with time and warmth and happiness and honest to god wanting to be parents are turned away by the state because the old ass cunts that make up the government kill the chance.
fuck america.
I hate this because anti-choicers are like âjust give the kid up for adoption!â but then are against lgbt parents adopting

The History of Science Fiction (X)
KU JOURNALISM MAJOR SHREDS âCASEâ AGAINST MIKE BROWN
Shelby Lawson is a student at the University of Kansas, majoring in Journalism and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Lawson posted the following to her Facebook page:Â
âAlright yâall. Iâd like to clear a few things up. This is a general address to the long list of misconceptions and inconsistencies and abuses of power that exist surrounding the killing of Mike Brown. I have researched these points and provided sources in case you wish to do some reading of your own.
-The most common misconception Iâm hearing is that Mike Brown was significantly larger than Officer Wilson. This is incorrect. On page 198 of the official grand jury transcript, you can see that Officer Wilson testifies he is 6 ft 4 and weighs 210 lbs,the same size as Mike Brown.
-Mike Brown was NOT stopped because he was a suspect in crime. He and his friend Dorian Johnson were stopped for jaywalking, as Darren Wilson testifies to on page 208 of his grand jury testimony.
-Mike Brown WAS fleeing from Officer Wilson when he was fatally shot. Wilson confirms this on page 281 of his grand jury testimony.
-Officer Wilson broke police self-defense protocol, which teaches to disarm and incapacitate rather than kill and teaches officers to go for body shots. Officer Wilson shot Mike Brown twice in the head, after he shot him four times in his arm and torso.
-Ferguson Police ignored protocol and refused to interview or take a statement from the eyewitness present from Officer Wilsonâs initial contact with Mike Brown until his death.
-The forensic examiner broke protocol by failing to take crime scene photos. On page 95 of the grand jury transcript, she claims that this was because her camera had died, however, she goes on to describe how she immediately followed Wilson to the hospital in order to photograph his âinjuries.â
-Forensic investigators broke protocol by failing to test Officer Wilsonâs gun for fingerprints, since Wilson claims that Brown grabbed his gun and caused it to misfire. Page 39, grand jury transcript.
-Darren Wilson was then allowed to break protocol by washing the blood off of himself before it could be photographed, making it impossible to analyze blood spatter patterns and determine what position Mike Brown was in when Wilson first shot him. Wilson recounts this on page 10 of his official police interview.
-While Officer Wilsonâs story of what happened that day has changed at least three times, six separate eyewitnesses, four of whom have never met each other, all have identical accounts of what happened. They were never interviewed by police.
-These eyewitnesses all agree that Darren Wilson was the aggressor and that Mike Brown was shot while surrendering, with his hands in the air and that his last words were âI donât have a gun. Stop shooting.â
-This is backed up by Mike Brownâs autopsy, which suggests that Mike Brown would have had to be in the hands-up position for the bullets to enter his hand and arm the way they did.
-Furthermore, in a press conference, the coroner who performed Mike Brownâs autopsy relays that there was no trace of gun shot residue anywhere on his body, proving that Wilsonâs claim that Mike Brown grabbed his gun, causing it to misfire, is impossible and untrue.
-Ferguson Police lied about the distance Mike Brown was from Officer Wilson when he was killed. They reported it was 35 ft. but it was in fact 148 ft.
-Owner of Ferguson Market states that he did not call police to report a theft of cigars, that the theft had nothing to do with Mike Brown, and that the man on the security footage is not Mike Brown.
-The prosecuting attorney for the case against Darren Wilson has helped raise $600,000 in donations for Darren Wilson, creating a clear conflict of interest.
-The police department that Officer Wilson worked for prior to coming to Ferguson was disbanded after multiple instances of racial profiling.â

If you would feel ok taking a dog away from a young girl who is confined to a wheel chair, fining her family if they objected, and then killing the dog, there may be a place for you in city government in Moreauville, Louisiana!
On October 13, the village voted to ban pit bulls and Rottweilers.
A letter was sent out to owners saying that if they didnât get rid of them by December 1, then they would be taken for âfurther disposition.â
The dog pictured above is a pit bull named Zeus. He is owned by a girl named OâHara Owens, whose neck problems require her to wear a brace and use a wheel chair. Zeus has never been accused of any aggressive behavior, and heâs a huge comfort to OâHara:
"If anything ever happened to him, I would just shut down," she said. [âŚ] She says Zeus acts as a sort of "therapy dog," providing love and support for her and her other brothers and sisters.
"I can sit here if Iâm in pain, he comes and he notices it before I even make any noise," she said.
OâHaraâs family says they will not surrender Zeus, to which Moreauville Alderman Penn Lemoine replies that the village government will take the dog by force, fine the family, and kill Zeus:
We asked Lemoine about dog attacksâŚ
"There have been, but I donât think theyâre documented," he said.
And, if they plan to kill the dogs they collect on December 1âŚ
"Iâd rather not elaborate on that," he said.
"Is that what it is? Are you going to kill the dogs?" asked reporter, Brooke Buford.
"If thatâs what the ordinance says, then thatâs what it says," Lemoine responded.
However, Lemoine did admit that the town might reconsider in the face of enough uproar, so OâHaraâs family created a petition for exactly that purpose. If you wouldnât feel ok taking a dog away from a young girl who is confined to a wheel chair, fining her family if they objected, and then killing the dog, you can sign that petition here.
Hopefully, the ordinance will be overturned. I hope and think it will, thanks to the media attention and public outcry over this patently ridiculous law. But breed-specific legislation like this is not an isolated incident, and it is not ok. Learn more about this cruel abuse of animalsâand libertyâhere.
OKAY GUYS THIS PETITION NEEDS AT LEAST 20000 MORE SIGNATURES
THE BAN IS IMPLEMENTED TODAY/TOMORROW.
